Oracle Verification Protocol
I. Forensic Intake & Provenance Audit
Every asset entering the Titanic Auctions ecosystem is subjected to the Oracle Verification Protocol. While standard listing is available, assets bearing the Titanic Auctions Verified Seal undergo a rigorous forensic audit to ensure absolute authenticity.
- Forensic Review: Comprehensive analysis of structural integrity, material composition, and historical hallmarks.
- Provenance Chain: We audit the ownership history and documentation to establish an indisputable record of the asset’s legacy.
- Seal Issuance: Verified assets are assigned a unique digital ledger ID, increasing both security and market liquidity.
Forensic Audit Fee Structure (Upfront)
| Asset Estimated Value | Verification Fee |
|---|---|
| $0 – $5,000 | 5% |
| $5,001 – $25,000 | 3% |
| $25,000+ | 2% |
II. Escrow-Locked Transaction Workflow
To eliminate financial risk and ensure complete liability neutrality, Titanic Auctions mandates the use of Escrow.com for all transactions. The platform does not hold funds; the escrow service acts as the secure, regulated vault.
- Secured Funding: The buyer deposits 100% of the hammer price + escrow service fees into the secure vault.
- Verified Transit: The seller ships the artifact via an insured, signature-restricted courier service.
- 10-Day Forensic Quarantine: Upon confirmed delivery, a 10-day quarantine period begins. The buyer performs an independent forensic inspection to match the asset against the Oracle audit ledger.
- Automated Settlement: Upon the expiration of the 10-day quarantine, the escrow system executes a split-payout: 15% to Titanic Auctions (Brokerage Fee) and 85% to the Seller.
